Focused on producing graduates in industrial design that are knowledgeable and moral in order to fulfill the needs of society and local communities.
The Objectives of the Curriculum
After graduating from this curriculum, students will have the necessary knowledge and skills in the field. They will possess the following qualities:
- Are knowledgeable and adept in the field of industrial design. Students will be creative thinkers and desire to research and develop products in the industrial sector and craft products in accordance with local wisdom.
- Follow the principles of morality and ethics in their lives. Maintain professional standards in their careers. Take responsibility in society and the environment. Also, uphold their loyalty to Thai culture which is a national identity.
- Possess the cognitive skills. Students are able to utilize systemic thinking to resolve issues and make independent decisions. In addition, graduates should develop far and wide-reaching vision in determining their lives.
- Have the necessary interpersonal skills when interacting with others. Graduates should have effective communication skills and work well with others within their organizations. Students should also be civic minded.
- Able to effectively use technology in industrial design. Graduates should be fluent with the tools and machinery that are used in production and in the presentation of their work.
Significance
Individuals involved in creating designs for products are considered to be important in the development of the product. Their designs satisfy the wants and the needs of the consumers. This is done by studying industry, marketing, the advancements in technology, and products conceived through local wisdom. The current state of the world and future trend are also taken into account when creating designs. In addition, by employing systemic and analytical thinking, designers are able to find an approach to gain an outlet in developing a product that is truly needed. In turn, these products provide Thailand an opportunity in competing in the global market.
